Deep Showing

Had a very nice showing on a Poker Stars $2.20 NLHE multi. I didn't keep a live blog and it was 2 am before I finished so I was pretty tired and don't remember all the details, but I did finish 6th from a field of well over 2000. Not bad, not bad at all.

Freeroll on Poker Stars

Playing a freeroll on PokerStars, 20 FPP No Limit Hold 'Em Turbo, 5354 entrants. Here's my rolling update:

1st Hand Played - Blinds at 10/20 - Limped in mid-position with K7 Spades. Flop comes 3-8-A two spades. With five in the pot I make a pot-sized bet and get one caller. Turn is a king I make a continuation bet of 1/3 the pot and he calls. River's a blank and it goes check-check and he shows A-4 off and takes it.

2nd Hand Played - Blinds at 15/30 - Limped in the hijack with 2-5 suited. Flop comes A-3-4 with two to my suit. Bet 2x pot and get one caller. Turn gives me the flush and he pushes all-in, I snap call. He shows A-8 off and I rake.

3rd Hand Played - Blinds at 15/30 - Small blind calls and I check whatever I had. Bets flop I fold.

Blinds at 25/50 now. I have 2345 in chips.

Blinds at 50/100, no change in stack.

4th Hand Played - Blinds at 50/100 - In the big blind with K-7 Hearts, call preflop 3x bet and see flop of 2-2-K. Check call a 300 bet. Turn is Jd putting two diamonds on board, I go all in for 1145 and he calls with flush draw and hits the river. I'm out in 3112th place. That's the problem with freerolls. You gotta survive all the donkeys. Oh well, next time.
