Session #80 - Eating No-Limit Crow

After all my limit rantings, I have to eat some no-limit crow. Thursday night saw me at the clubhouse playing some $1/$2 no-limit and I quickly pumped off the first $100 after getting top pair knocked out by a low-pocket pair that tripped up on the turn. Then I hit my stride and made several nice hands and one sweet turn-raise bluff that got my stack up to $295 putting me $95 to the plus.

Then I played a bonehead hand. I had just watching JT bluff a big hand and he came in the very next one with the same raise pre-flop and the same bet on the flop ($30). I didn't hit anything but thought I would make a play against him and raised to $60. He thought about it a few seconds and then called. He checked the turn and I bet $60 and he called. That should have been my warning sign (duh) but I tried again on the river with an $80 bet and he called. Dammit. There went $185 in one hand that I shouldn't have been in and in which I didn't even have a decent high card. I was pretty mad at myself and looking back I definately put myself on tilt and cost myself a lot of money.

Dumbass.
