Session #44 - A Losing Note to End the Month

Well, after having a semi-strong month I end it on a whopper of a losing session. I can't fault my play too much. I thought I played good but just didn't get lucky on the three or four monster pots I got involved in which hit me right where it hurts.

I'll give my final hand as an example of the luck I was having. I'm holding pocket deuces in mid-postion and am able to limp in for one bet. The flop comes 7-7-4 and it's checked around. The turn is a deuce which gives me a nice little full house right?

Wrong.

The guy behind me bets out and I raise and it folds around to buddy who starts yammering "It was raised? Who raised it? It was raised?" and on and on. And I thought, oh crap, I'm doomed. My full house just got trapped by pocket fours or the miracle flop for quads. I'm short stacked with only $4 left so of course I call his re-raise. He turns over pocket 7's for quads. My only hope is for the case duck to hit the river and I would get paid out the bad beat jackpot but it doesn't come and I'm busted.
